Summer Founder Program

A very cool thing is happening over at paulgraham.com

Excerpts:

Why are you doing this?

To hack the world. (In the good sense of "hack.")
We suspect that students, and particularly undergrads, are undervalued. Twenty years ago the idea of grad students starting companies would have seemed odd. Not after Yahoo and Google. And if grad students can do it, why not undergrads too?

Our hypothesis is that many quite young hackers could start viable startups if someone just gave them enough seed money to develop a prototype. The Summer Founders Program is an experiment to test this hypothesis.

SMT 5600 or Motorola MPx 220

I decided to treat myself to a late birthday present and get one of these two phones. Not sure which one yet, I've been monitoring eBay for a while. The SMT5600 completed auctions are ranging from $250-280 and the MPx220 averages $300-350. I tend to have better luck on eBay on weekends, so we'll see what happens in the next two days. Wish me luck.
